
Born in Wilmington, Delaware. Earned A.B. in Management from
Johns Hopkins University and Ph.D. in Economics from Duke
University. Married to Sandra Robinson.
Two married daughters
and three grandchildren in New Jersey. Member of Jamestowne
Society and Magna Charta Barons.
Joined West Little
Rock Rotary Club in 1980 and later member of Bozeman (MT)
and Trenton (NJ) Rotary Clubs before joining Lakeland South
Rotary in 1998. District
Interact director 1996-97 and club treasurer 1999-2001.
Academic career included teaching at Virginia Tech and
Missouri; deanships of several business schools, including
Arkansas-Little Rock, Montana State, and The College of New
Jersey; and senior vice president of Bryant College.
Arbitrator of labor-management disputes since 1974 plus
securities disputes since 1998. Current arbitration practice
area includes southeastern U.S. from North Carolina to
Florida to Mississippi.
Author of five books on labor-management relations and labor
economics and of various articles in professional journals.
Hobbies include photography and model railroading.
